She is physically strong due to both her bear genes and her work as a personal trainer. She has a strong moral compass that doesn't always align with other people's rules and will go out on a limb to protect people who can't protect themselves.

Family: Bradi doesn't remember her father and her mother is mostly absent. The Jones family and, by extension, the Whelan Pack were her surrogate family growing up. She continues to enjoy a close relationship with her defacto in-laws, and maintains an unofficial position in the pack, but the differences in species often lead to her being left out of pack activities.

Physical Appearance: Brandi is around 5'4" tall with long golden brown hair and medium brown eyes. In spite of her love of fitness and sports, her bear nature gives her a larger body size than she's comfortable with. It's solid muscle, but she feels embarrassed when people point and comment on it.

Education: Brandi has a bachelor's degree in exercise science, but is unhappy in her field and is looking at going back to school for criminal justice.

Where does she live? Amoskeag Falls, NH, a small city with a population of 145,000. Brandi lives with her best friend, Emma Jones, though she occasionally escapes to her boyfriend's house when she's stressed.

Job Description: Brandi is a self-employed personal trainer. She usually works out of Fierce Mama Fitness, the gym owned by Ginny Walker, but also works one-on-one with clients in their homes.

Income Range: Brandi charges $35 an hour. She was making around $45,000 a year, but has seen a noticeable decline in income over the last 18 months. She chalks this up to the local supe community's bias against bear shifters and her own growing dissatisfaction with the profession. — Brandi is the only known bear shifter in Amoskeag Falls and faces quite a bit of criticism about both her size and species from wolf and fox shifters. 

Motivations

What motivates her? Brandi is motivated by the ideas of fairness and belonging. She hates bullies and wants people to live in peace. 

What does she like? Between her bear and Fae natures, Brandi has a massive sweet tooth and loves honey. She also enjoys playing cards. As much as she embraces fairness, she occasionally uses her limited magic to cheat. But only when someone needs to learn a lesson. She doesn't cheat for her own benefit. 

What does she dislike? Bullies. She really dislikes bullies and will often stand in defense of people being treated badly.

Influences & Interests

What are her hobbies? Brandi's bear and Fae natures give her a love of the outdoors. In addition to hiking and camping, Brandi enjoys running and other outdoor sports that she can do by herself. 

Where does she hang out? Brandi spends a lot of time on her own, but she does hang out with her roommate, Emma Jones, and her mate, Detective Alan Jones. She is a regular for Sunday dinners at Emma and Alan's parents' home, and often attends pack events with her roommate and boyfriend. 

Affiliations

Doe she belong to a pack, coven, or other organized group? Mutts don't have packs. Although Brandi passes as a bear, there are no bear packs in Amoskeag Falls. Growing up with wolf shifters, Brandi has a good relationship with the Whelan wolf pack, but often feels isolated on the fringe of the community. 

Who are her closest friends? Brandi's closest friends are her roommate, Emma Jones, and her mate, Detective Alan Jones. Note: Emma and Brandi have been friends since childhood, but are starting to move apart as Emma becomes more involved in pack life. This is coinciding with Samantha Thomas' appearance and opening the door to building new friendships.

Goals

What are her personal goals? Brandi's primary goal is to forge a life for herself. She is grateful to the Jones family for their support growing up, but she is aware of how the wolf community feels about her. In a perfect world, Brandi would find her own pack, but she's not sure how that would work when there are no other local bear shifters and her mate is the number two in the wolf pack. 

What are her professional goals? Brandi is becoming unhappy with her current career. She often helps Detective Jones with pack security and is secretly considering a career change. She's not sure exactly what she wants to do, but she likes the idea of criminal justice, but not as a cop. 

Challenges

Problem 1: Brandi's biggest challenge is living as a bear/Fae hybrid in a world that hates mutts. This is compounded by the fact that she is the only bear in her local community.

Problem 2: Her second challenge is her relationship with Detective Alan Jones. She is aware of how lucky she is to have found her true mate, especially as they are not the same species, but she feels like there is something missing. They grew up together as good friends and have the benefit of a shared history and longstanding relationship, but she wonders if that helps him take her for granted. She is tired of being relegated to the back of the room at pack activities and she would love if they could do things she enjoyed once in a while.

What does she want? Brandi wants to find her place. She's pretty sure it's doable, but she has yet to pull herself out of the shadows to embrace it.

What does she need? Brandi needs a support system. She needs to find people like her — bears, Fae, or mutts — who understand the challenges of being a hybrid and can help each other overcome them.
