The first thing you need to know about me is that I’d much rather hear about you than talk about myself.
I’m serious. My family moved a lot when I was a kid and there were way too many days when I was when I was alone at home because I was in between schools. Although it gave me a lot of time for reading, I was always excited to meet new people and hear their stories.
If you’re looking for actual bio deets, here are a few of the quirkier ones:
I majored in aeronautics, not creative writing or anything useful like business
My husband and I had one of those fairytale love-at-first-sight stories, but I rarely read romance novels (Do JD Robb’s In Death books count?)
I am a fully qualified, card-carrying member of the Jane-of-All-Trades society (I choose to embrace my eclectic resume as proof of how willing I am to learn new things, but most recruiters seem unimpressed.)
I have a weird obsession with creating digital business planning tools
And last, but not least, I’ve been writing stories since I picked up my first pencil and I have the permanent grooves carved into my finger to prove it.
While I grew up reading Nancy Drew and Phyllis A. Whitney’s many mystery books, my absolute favorite genre is urban fantasy. (I also have drafts for a few cozy mysteries tucked away in a notebook, but that's a story for another day.)
Which brings us to where I am today.
These days, I split my time between writing urban fantasy and creating business content for digital publications.
